In the 2016 Ford Fusion, a ticking noise in the engine can be caused by loose valves or low oil levels, which are common issues that can arise with engines. Engine troubles may also occur if a spark plug pops off, if a gasket is loose and needs tightening, or if there are oil leaks that require prompt repair. Overheating of the engine is a serious concern as it could result in fires and the vehicle exploding. Additionally, excessive oil consumption may necessitate more frequent oil changes than usual. It is recommended to change the coolant every 60,000 miles, replace the air filter every 15,000 to 30,000 miles, and replace the spark plugs every 100,000 miles unless using a copper spark plug, in which case replacement is needed every 30,000 miles.
