The 2010 Kia Forte had SRX different configurations, each offering a choice between two engine options. The smaller 2.0L 4-Cylinder engine requires 4.1 quarts of either SAE 5W-20 or SAE 5W-30 synthetic motor oil, while the larger 2.4L 4-Cylinder engine needs 4.5 quarts of the same. It's recommended to use 5W-20 oil for better viscosity, although 5W-30 can be used temporarily without major issues. However, using thicker oil in the long run might cause your engine to age prematurely due to inefficiency. Spending a bit more on SAE 5W-20 oil during oil changes could save you trouble down the road.
The 2010 Kia Forte needs 3.9 quarts of engine oil (including the filter) for the 2.0L engine, and 4.3 quarts for the 2.4L engine.
