The 2015 Ford Fusion comes with four different engines, which are a 1.5 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder, a 2.0 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder, a 2.0L naturally aspirated 4-cylinder, and a 2.5 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder. The 1.5L engine requires 4.3 quarts of SAE 5W-20 full synthetic oil, the 2.5L engine needs 5.7 quarts of the same oil. The 2.0 turbo engine uses 5.7 quarts of SAE 5W-30 full synthetic oil, and the 2.0L naturally aspirated engine uses 4.5 quarts of SAE 0W-20 full synthetic oil. While it's possible to substitute a thicker oil grade with a number 5 higher than the second digit, such as using SAE 5W-30 instead of SAE 5W-20, it's not recommended for long-term use. Thicker oils can cause premature wear and tear, especially in turbocharged engines. It's best to follow Ford's recommendations for oil type whenever possible.
The 2015 Ford Fusion S, SE, and Titanium versions require approximately 5.7 quarts of oil for their engines. For the S Hybrid, SE Hybrid, and Titanium Hybrid variants, around 4.5 quarts of oil are needed.
