The 2018 Kia Soul had two engine options: a 1.6L turbocharged i-4 engine and a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine. If you own the 1.6L model, you should use either 5W-30 or 5W-40 synthetic or synthetic blend motor oil. For the 2.0L engine, opt for 5W-20 or 5W-30 synthetic oil. Although Kia recommends 5W-20, 5W-30 is also acceptable. The 1.6L engine takes 4.8 US quarts of oil with the filter, while the 2.0L engine requires 4.2 US quarts with the filter.
