If your Toyota RAV4's immobilizer is stopping you from starting your vehicle, first check the fuses. If the fuses are fine, proceed to resetting the system. To reset it, press and hold the panic button on your key fob for five seconds, followed by pressing the lock button twice and the unlock button twice. This should deactivate and reactivate the alarm system. If you experience persistent issues with the alarm, it's advisable to have a Toyota dealer inspect it to rule out failing electrical components.

To reset a Toyota engine immobilizer, first press and hold the panic button for five seconds to initiate the reset. Then, press the lock button twice and stand ten feet away from the vehicle for ten minutes.
