The 2003 Dodge Durango holds a total of 14.1 quarts of transmission fluid. To replace the transmission fluid, start by ensuring the car is parked on a level surface and opening the hood. Locate the transmission fluid reservoir, usually found near the transmission itself, and locate the dipstick. Remove the dipstick, clean it, reinsert it, and then pull it out again. Take note of the current fluid level and how much more fluid is needed to fill it up. Use a funnel to carefully add new fluid until the reservoir is full (or just under full). Avoid overfilling. Once filled, secure the reservoir and you're all set to go.
To fully fill the 5-speed automatics, you'll need a total of 14.1 quarts. Meanwhile, the four-speed auto will require a total of 10 quarts for a complete fill.
