Based on typical maintenance, a Nissan Maxima can usually go for around 200,000 miles before potentially encountering significant engine or transmission issues. However, if a Maxima is not well taken care of, it might start having problems before reaching 150,000 miles. Conversely, with proper maintenance, a Maxima could last well beyond 300,000 miles before requiring any major repairs. Factors such as regular oil changes and general upkeep play a crucial role in determining how long the car will last, so it's important to stay on top of these tasks. It's recommended to change the oil every 4000 to 5000 miles and to replace components like oil and fuel filters promptly to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

Is it a good idea for me to buy a 2009 Maxima next week even though it has 215,000 miles on it?

Can you believe someone saying a Nissan Maxima only lasts 100k to 200k miles? I've had 5 Maximas both in the US and abroad, and each one went over 230k miles with no issues. They ran great, and the Maxima is truly a fantastic car.

I own a 2003 Nissan Maxima with nearly 300,000 miles on it. I haven't encountered any issues or needed to replace any parts. It's just as fantastic as when I first got it, with the leather interior still looking great and the original Bose system intact. Everything is still factory-original, and I believe there are many more miles to go. It's not even fully broken in yet, and I absolutely love it!

I recently had to say goodbye to my 1997 Nissan Maxima with 354,000 miles on it. The transmission never failed me, but it was the engine that ultimately led me to part ways with her. So, I decided to get myself another Maxima. It's truly the best car out there!

I drive a 2007 Maxima with 185,000 miles on it, and it's running smoothly without any problems. I intend to keep using it until I reach 225,000 miles, and I'm excited about the upcoming 2023 Maxima.

Nissans used to be incredibly reliable before the merge with Renault. However, with the introduction of the CVT after the French carmaker's involvement, the Maxima lost its former quality. Many believe that any Nissan made after 2003 is of poor quality. Having owned four Nissans, I recently traded my fully-equipped 2011 Maxima for a luxurious 2017 GS 350. I have decided that I will not purchase another Nissan. By the time it reached 85,000 miles, my Maxima's transmission was making strange noises, the sunroof was squeaking, and there was an odd vibration when braking.

I have a 1987 Nissan Maxima wagon that still has less than 200,000 miles on it and runs perfectly. I make sure to keep up with regular oil changes, tune-ups, and I store it in the garage when not in use.

I own a 2013 Nissan Maxima. It has been pretty reliable, with the only issues being brake jobs and tire replacements until it reached 158,600 miles, when the transmission started acting up. It is currently in the repair shop, and I've been told that getting a rebuilt CVT will cost me $4600. I'm planning to sell it for at least that much, or else I'll keep driving it until it breaks down completely.

I own a 2007 maxima 3.5 SE, which is a gorgeous car. Recently, I've upgraded the brakes and suspension, had an oil change, and despite having driven 194,000 miles, it's still going strong. It's a fantastic vehicle.

I own a 2010 Maxima S, which has been a reliable car with minimal expensive repairs. Not too long ago, I had to replace 2 tires, fix the air conditioner compressor, and repair the driver side window motor, costing me about $1600 altogether. Recently, the car went into limp mode, and I spent $850 on 2 speed sensors, but that didn't solve the issue. The Nissan dealer now says it needs a new electrical harness, which would cost around $2300. The car is currently not drivable, and for a trade, they're offering only $600. It has 185,000 miles, no rust or accidents, and was running great until this issue. With the prices of new and used cars being so high, when do you draw the line on spending money to fix an old car?

I purchased a 2009 Nissan Maxima a month ago with 217,000 miles on it. I am really happy with it as it runs smoothly and has a nice interior. I also replaced all the brake pads. However, the condition of the car ultimately depends on how well it was maintained by the previous owner. It's a good idea to test drive it and inspect all aspects, including checking the oil and looking for any engine leaks. This way, you'll have a better sense of whether it's a good fit for you. Personally, I am pleased with my purchase.

I purchased a 2005 Maxima that was already in an accident. Despite having over 205,000 miles on it, with some effort and investment, it is still running smoothly. It has been worth every dollar I spent on it.

In 1996, a Nissan Maxima GLE has reached 484,000 miles as of December 3, 2022. The car still has its original engine and transmission, which have never required any repairs. The vehicle has been consistently maintained and driven under normal conditions.

Here's a rephrased and unique version of the text: I own a 2011 Maxima with only 53,000 miles on it. Despite being a mechanic and staying on top of maintenance and making a few upgrades, I'm worried about the CVT failing. I'm hoping that if I drive gently from a stop, replace the NS-2 fluid every 25,000 miles, and am fortunate, it will hold up beyond 150,000 miles.

My 97 GMC truck with 253,818 miles is still going strong. The only thing I've had to do is replace some steering and suspension parts. The engine is powerful.

I'm considering purchasing a 2008 Nissan Maxima SE Sedan 4D with over 156,000 miles on it. What do you think? Would you recommend going with this option or the Hyundai Sonata?

My 2012 car has 212,000 miles on it. Recently, the CVT transmission has started to slip. It's a $6,000 repair, but I'm going ahead with it, hoping to get another 100,000 miles out of the car. My main frustration is that there's no option to transfer the music box feature to a newer model.

I own a 1997 vehicle that's a bit old and rusty, and the previous owner didn't take care of the interior, but I cleaned it up. It has over 273,000 miles on it.

In 2008, a Nissan Maxima with a V6 engine in Sudan has been driven 214,004 miles. Out of the 2,500 produced, 79,000 were made this year. Laughing at that!
