At times, the liftgate on the 2017 Highlanders can be difficult to operate. It might get stuck, have trouble latching properly, or even lose power on occasion. Indeed, a class action lawsuit was filed against Toyota claiming that the liftgate in this model was inherently faulty. If your liftgate is not functioning, you can attempt to reset it. Open the liftgate and press and hold the close button until you hear four beeps. If this reset method does not work, the issue may be a power loss.
