In 2019, some Jeep Cherokee owners experienced issues with their radio where it would switch stations on its own, adjust the volume unexpectedly, and even have no sound coming from the speakers. Additionally, some reported that the radio would function erratically, switching between different modes without warning. The audio, air, and heat controls would also intermittently cut in and out, and the screen would jump between various displays like radio, controls, navigation, climate, apps, and media without any input from the driver or passenger. These problems occurred while driving on city streets, highways, during turns, and even when the vehicle was parked and turned on, causing significant distraction and inconvenience to the driver.

My radio/screen malfunctioned as well. I contacted Jeep at 800-992-1997 to report the problem, and they referred me to the reimbursement department. I submitted my payment receipts as requested, expecting to be reimbursed based on similar experiences shared by others. I recommended a recall for the radio issue. To my disappointment, my reimbursement claim was rejected on the basis of alleged late submission, which was untrue. The reviewer did not fulfill his duties properly. They should take responsibility for their defective components. I ended up replacing my radio at a nearby dealership for $871.78.
