If you're having trouble with the climate control in your 2019 GMC Terrain, it's likely due to a faulty temperature actuator on the driver's side. This part can malfunction, causing erratic temperature changes from hot to cold or heat to air conditioning if its internal settings are compromised. The actuator is located at the bottom of the heater box under the passenger side dashboard. Replacing it typically costs around $200 plus labor. If only one side of the climate control is functioning, you might just need to reset the system by disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. This will trigger the actuators to recalibrate once the engine is restarted. Other potential issues could be a freon leak, problems with the heater box, or difficulties with the push button controls on the dashboard.
One issue with the climate control system on the 2019 GMC Terrain is the appearance of a "Climate Control Off" message due to a software glitch.
