If your Ford Focus rear parking sensors aren't working, it's likely due to a faulty fuse that isn't receiving power. To access the fuse box, look towards the left side of the steering wheel for a small seam or crack on the dashboard. Gently pry this open using a screwdriver or prybar. Inside, you'll find multiple fuses. Check the back of the panel you opened for a diagram that identifies each fuse. If it's not there, you can consult the vehicle's owner's manual for this information. Once you identify the problematic fuse, carefully remove it. Inspect the fuse for a thin strip of metal connecting the two raised sections - if this strip is broken, the fuse needs to be replaced. If the strip is intact, you can reinstall the fuse. New fuses are inexpensive, typically around $10.
Consumers have experienced issues with rear parking sensors in the Ford Focus, citing problems such as a malfunctioning sensor, faulty wiring harness, and a defective switch for the parking sensor.
