The issues with the 2012 Chevy Cruze coil packs typically manifest as the check engine light coming on, which is a common indicator of faulty coil packs. In many cases, the car's computer can identify the problem with the coil packs in your Cruze. When you press on the gas pedal, the fuel and ignition systems of your Cruze react. If you notice a decrease in acceleration, it could be a sign that one or more cylinders are not firing properly, particularly in engines with fewer cylinders. If you have faulty coil packs, it can result in weaker acceleration in the Cruze and possibly a jerky feeling while driving.
The ignition coil in the Chevy Cruze is prone to failure due to difficulty in removal, especially with the rubber boot becoming fused to the ceramic part of the spark plugs.
