The main issue affecting the defrost vents in a 2015 Ford Explorer is typically related to problems with the blend door. If the blend door or its actuator is malfunctioning, it can prevent air from reaching the defroster vents to aid in clearing the front and rear windows. Another common problem with the defrost vents occurs when the dashboard contracts from exposure to sunlight and heat, which can slightly dislodge the vents from their positions. If this occurs, simply press the vents back into place until they click. If these issues arise with your Explorer, they are relatively simple to address.
If your 2015 Ford Explorer isn't blowing hot air properly or if there's less air coming out of the vents, you might have to switch out the blend door motor or actuator.
