The Chevy Equinox uses a peak 1 gallon orange concentrate coolant/antifreeze. To perform a coolant change, start by opening the hood and locating the radiator at the front of the engine compartment. Attached to the radiator is the coolant reservoir, which has a drain plug, fill plug, and dipstick. Check the coolant level using the dipstick and add more if needed. For a complete flush, open the drain plug and let the coolant flow into a bucket. You can aid the process by adding water to the reservoir. Once the water runs clear, close the drain plug, fill the reservoir to the designated level, and replace the cap.
