As the proud owner of an INFINITI QX60, you might be worried about potential issues with the vehicle's CVT transmission. While there have been numerous complaints about the transmission, many of them are typical of what happens when a vehicle isn't properly maintained. Symptoms you might notice include shuddering and vibration from underneath the car, as well as problems with slipping gears or gears getting stuck. Your vehicle may also struggle to shift down to a lower gear or make loud grinding noises with a burning smell.

I drive a 2014 QX60 and recently got a transmission error code when I took it to the dealer for service. I was told that Infiniti will cover any necessary repairs, even if it means getting a new transmission. There wasn't a formal recall, but Infiniti did send a service notice to dealers regarding the CVT transmission problem and assured that they would foot the bill for repairs.

If your INFINITI QX60 is experiencing transmission troubles, you may observe various issues like vibrations or unusual noises when driving, a smell of burning when the car is running, difficulties with shifting gears, the gear shifter getting stuck or not responding, and leaking fluids. These issues can ultimately result in a complete transmission failure, which could render your vehicle inoperable.
