In its five different setups, the 2015 Kia Sorento is equipped with one of two engines: the 2.4L 4-cylinder or the 3.3L V6. Both engines require SAE 5W-30 full synthetic motor oil, but they have slightly different oil capacities. The smaller engine needs 5.3 quarts, while the larger engine needs 6.0 quarts. If SAE 5W-30 is unavailable, you can temporarily substitute it with SAE 5W-40, but only for the short term. Long-term use of SAE 5W-40 is not recommended due to its tendency to break down and its lower viscosity, which can accelerate engine wear. Opting for the recommended oil type, even if it costs a bit more, is advisable to maintain the longevity of your vehicle.
The 3.3-liter V-6 engine in the 2015 Kia Sorento requires SAE 5W-30 synthetic motor oil and has a capacity of 5.28 quarts.
Check engine light is illuminated, and the vehicle stalled unexpectedly.
