Note that there might be a plastic panel underneath the engine that needs to be removed by unscrewing it to reach the drain plug and oil filter. After draining the oil, reinsert and tighten the drain plug. Dispose of the old filter, then lightly coat the new filter's rubber ring with oil before screwing it in. Use a filter wrench to securely tighten the filter without applying excessive force, just enough to prevent it from loosening.
