The oil cap on my 2010 vehicle recommends using 5W-20 oil. In the manual for my Altima, it also suggests using 5W-20 oil, but Nissan states that 5W-30 conventional oil is acceptable. Although 5W-20 oil is more costly, I prefer to use it in my car and would not risk using conventional oil.
