The 2007 Ford Freestyle is equipped with a 3.0 L V6 engine that requires 6.0 quarts (or 5.7 liters) of SAE 5W-20 premium synthetic blend oil. While Motocraft is the recommended brand, you can choose any brand as long as it matches the correct viscosity. You have the option to use full synthetic oil instead of a synthetic blend, but the difference is not significant. With either synthetic option, you only need to change your oil every 7,500 miles instead of the usual 5,000 with conventional oil, providing improved engine protection as a benefit.
