For a 2012 Chevy Traverse, use GM Power Steering Fluid, Part No. 89021184. Find the reservoir below the engine cover on the passenger side. Check the fluid only if you notice steering issues. When checking, let the engine cool, remove the cover, and wipe the reservoir and cap clean. Unscrew the cap, check the dipstick level with a lint-free cloth, and top off if needed. If the fluid is low, check for leaks visually.
