The 2005 Ford Expedition requires F-TYPE transmission fluid. The transmission is a critical component of the vehicle and issues are inevitable. Symptoms such as hard shifts, jerking, stuck gears, shudders, and delayed shifts can occur. It is crucial to promptly address transmission fluid leaks and potential slipping. It is recommended to replace the transmission fluid every 30,000 to 60,000 miles to avoid problems like strange noises emanating from the transmission due to old fluid. Additionally, a worn-out torque converter can cause significant difficulties.
