In 2019, every version of the Dodge Grand Caravan was equipped with a 3.6L V6 engine that could generate 283 horsepower. The engine required 5.9 US quarts of 5W-20 fully synthetic oil for optimal performance. The oil drain plug on this vehicle had a 13mm head size, and if you have a torque wrench, it should be set to 20 ft/lbs to loosen it. If you only have hand tools, a 13mm socket on your wrench will do the job.
How frequently should you change the synthetic 5w-20 oil in a 2019 Grand Caravan GT?
Is it okay to use a 5-w-20 conventional oil in a 2019 Dodge Caravan?
The 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan is equipped with a powerful 3.6L V6 engine that performs optimally when using SAE 5W-20 synthetic oil. This minivan can hold up to 5.9 quarts of oil.
I suggest going with a 1/2 inch socket or wrench. A thirteen mm should work well too. I'm not going to attempt it, but if you do, let me know how it turns out. You'll need 6 quarts of 5w 20. I currently think that changing every 5000 miles is better. I believe the sensor signals for a change at 8000 miles. Best of luck and blessings to you!
