The 2013 Kia Soul requires a 121R battery with a minimum cold cranking amps of 550 to effectively start the car. Having higher cold cranking amps in your battery makes it easier for your car to start in tough conditions. Currently, there are various battery technologies available in the market. The traditional wet lead acid cell has been in use for many years, while the newer gel batteries, also known as AGM, offer more power and a longer lifespan compared to standard batteries. AGM batteries are sealed and maintenance-free, eliminating the need to add water like with lead acid batteries.
