The 2009 Honda Accord Sedan owner's manual emphasizes using only the Honda Long Life Antifreeze/Coolant Type 2, a 50/50 mix of water and antifreeze. If you must use a different coolant temporarily, ensure it has a similar blend and avoid using pure water or antifreeze. Using a different coolant for an extended period could result in corrosion inside the cooling system, leading to issues. To top up the coolant, find the reservoir near the front of the engine on the passenger side, unscrew the cap, and fill it until just below the maximum level.
The 2009 Honda Accord is equipped with long-lasting blue coolant.
