According to the manufacturer, you can use any high-quality ethylene glycol-based coolant with phosphate in your 2017 Kia Forte. It's recommended to mix it at a 50/50 ratio using only deionized or soft water. Avoid using hard water as it can lead to scale buildup in the radiator, potentially causing clogs. This may result in engine overheating and serious damage. Adjust the coolant-to-water ratio slightly as temperatures change, but never exceed 60% coolant and 40% water. Check the coolant level monthly in the reservoir to ensure it's at the proper level, between the "F" and "L" markings. Be careful not to overfill the reservoir.
The 2017 Kia Forte requires a coolant with phosphate organic acid technology that is suitable for Asian vehicles and is labeled as green extended life coolant.
