To determine the appropriate oil for your 2019 Jeep Wrangler, consider the type of engine it has. For the 2.0-liter engine, you should use Mopar API SN PLUS Certified SAE 5W-30 Full Synthetic Engine Oil, or a similar oil that meets the FCA Material Standard MS-13340. If your Wrangler has a 3.6-liter engine, opt for Mopar SAE 0W-20 oil, or an approved alternative like Pennzoil or Shell Helix that complies with FCA Material Standard MS6395. Each engine requires 5 quarts of oil, including the filter. The Wrangler features an oil change indicator system that evaluates engine revolutions, driving conditions, and other factors to determine the optimal time for an oil change. Once the system recognizes that the criteria have been fulfilled, the "Oil Change Required" message will appear on the instrument cluster display.
Do not opt for oil from Walmart.
For a 2019 Jeep Wrangler, it is best to use synthetic oil. The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo engine performs well with SAE 5W-30 and requires 5 quarts of oil. The 3.6L V6 engine is better suited for SAE 0W-20 and also needs 5 quarts of oil.
It all depends on the type of engine being used. I am most knowledgeable about the V-6, 3.6 Penstar engine. It requires premium full synthetic oil with a viscosity of 0W-20 and has a capacity of 5 quarts. It is important to note that some people incorrectly fill it with 6 quarts.
How about this: Five quarts of Royal Purple Synthetic 0W-20 oil.
