The 2014 Kia Cadenza is powered by a 3.3L 6-cylinder engine that requires synthetic 5W-30 motor oil. With a 5-quart capacity including the filter, you should plan to change the oil every 7,500 miles to keep the engine in good condition. If you choose to do the oil change yourself, expect to spend between $20 to $40 for the necessary fluids, depending on the brand and store. Taking your vehicle to an oil change shop will cost you between $110 and $130 on average.
According to the 2014 Cadenza manual, you need 6 quarts of oil. I confirmed this with Kia and my regular mechanic, who both stated 6 quarts were needed. However, I became worried when I heard someone suggest using 5 quarts, as I usually avoid quick lube services. Despite my reservations, I had to opt for a Halvoline quick lube due to time constraints, and they recommended using 6 quarts.
The 2014 Kia Cadenza needs SAE 5W-30 full synthetic engine oil.
