The recommended oil for the 2008 INFINITI G35 is Valvoline Synthetic motor oil in the 5W-30 grade, and you will need one quart of it. Before changing the oil in the car, make sure to park the vehicle and let it sit turned off for a couple of hours to allow the engine to cool down. Locate the oil pan and drain plug beneath the car's engine compartment. Position a bucket under the plug, remove it, and let the old oil drain until it stops dripping, which could take about an hour. Once the draining is complete, replace the drain plug and locate the intake port on top of the oil pan. Use a funnel to fill the oil pan to the prescribed level, ensuring not to overfill. It's okay to be a little underfilled, but excess oil can cause leaks and burn-off. Once the oil is at the correct level, close the port, clean up any spilled oil, and your oil change is complete.
