The 2012 Chrysler 300 was equipped with a 3.6L V6 engine as standard, but it also offered upgrades to two more powerful engines: the 5.7L V8 and the 6.4L V8. If you have the standard engine, you'll need to use synthetic 5W-20 motor oil with a capacity of 5.9 US quarts including the filter. For the 5.7L V8 engine, you'll still use 5W-20 oil but with a larger capacity of 7 US quarts. On the other hand, the 6.4L V8 engine requires synthetic 0W-40 oil and has a capacity similar to the 5.7L V8 engine.
The 2012 Chrysler 300 needs SAE 5W-20 full synthetic engine oil.
