Wait until the dripping stops, which could take about an hour. Once the oil has fully drained, reattach the drain plug and then find the intake port on top of the oil pan. Using a funnel, fill the oil pan to the required level, being careful not to overfill. It's better to be slightly underfilled than overfilled to avoid leaks and oil burning off. After filling the oil, close the port tightly, clean up any spilled oil, and the oil change will be complete.

When should the filter be changed - after filling it, after the motor seizes, or does it even have a filter? Heavy metal parts will settle at the bottom, and if they pass the screen on the oil pump, only the tiny pieces will enter the ports and cylinders. This is my initial ramble; is it beneficial for them?
