The 2004 Chrysler Sebring requires SAE 5W-30 oil for its engine. Chrysler suggests using synthetic oil for better wear protection when changing the oil. Nowadays, there are two main types of oil available: synthetic and conventional. Synthetic oil is specially created in a laboratory to provide superior wear protection and longer durability compared to the traditional petroleum-based conventional option. With synthetic oil, you won't have to change it as frequently. Typically, you can drive up to 7,500 miles between oil changes with synthetic, whereas with conventional oil, it's recommended to change every 3,500 to 5,000 miles. It's a good idea to check your oil at least once a month to ensure it's at the proper level and doesn't show any signs of damage or contamination.
