In the United States, the 3.3L and 3.8L engines in the 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan require SAE 5W-20 synthetic blend motor oil. For the 4.0-liter engine, use SAE 10W-30 synthetic blend motor oil. The recommendation is to change the oil every 7,500 miles or once a year, whichever comes first. Using synthetic oil helps keep engines cleaner by preventing debris from causing damage. You can change the oil yourself, but don't forget to replace the oil filter as well. If you prefer, you can also get oil changes done at places like the Dodge dealership, Jiffy Lube, or Firestone Auto Care.
