The 2010 Kia Optima originally came with a 2.4L 4-cylinder engine, but there was an option to upgrade to a 2.7L 4-cylinder engine. Regardless of the model you have, both engines require synthetic 5W-20 motor oil. The oil capacities are similar, with the standard engine requiring 4.8 US quarts and the optional 2.7L engine needing slightly more at 5 US quarts, including the filter. To remove the oil drain plug, you'll need a 16mm socket, and when tightening it back, torque it to 25 ft-lbs.
Kia suggests using SAE 5W-20 oil for the 2.4L and 2.7L engines in its 2010 Optima models.
