The manufacturer suggests using Dexron or Mercon III fluid for the power steering in the 2004 Nissan Titan, or you can opt for the Nissan OEM power steering fluid. This fluid typically costs between $7 and $15 per quart. To check the power steering fluid level, locate the reservoir under the hood in the front of the engine bay on the passenger's side. The reservoir will have a black cap with a steering wheel symbol. Look at the level indicators on the reservoir to determine if more fluid is needed or if it is already full.
The 2004 Nissan Titan utilizes Nissanmatic Type "D" ATF power steering fluid.
