The reason why the windshield washer on a 2012 Dodge Ram isn't working is most likely due to a faulty fuse. To locate the fuse box, check to the left of the steering wheel for a small seam or crack on the dashboard. You can use a screwdriver or prybar to gently open this panel. Inside, you will find various fuses. Behind the panel, there should be a diagram showing you the purpose of each fuse. If the diagram isn't there, you can refer to the vehicle owner's manual. Once you identify the fuse you need, simply pull it out. Look for a thin strip of metal connecting the two raised sections on the fuse. If this strip is broken, the fuse is bad and needs to be replaced. If the strip is intact, the fuse is fine and can be reinserted. New fuses are inexpensive, usually costing around $10.
