The ambient air temperature sensor for a 2004 Dodge Ram can be found under the hood. To locate it, you will have to remove a panel positioned between the driver's side headlight and the radiator. After taking off the panel, look for a sensor with violet and light green wires on one side and dark blue and dark green wires on the other side in that area. Follow these wires to find the sensor. If the sensor is not functioning properly, you can buy a replacement for around $20 to $50.
