The location of the amplifier for the 2009 Chevy Traverse is behind the dashboard, near the glove box. If the amplifier is not working, you should check the fuse box. To access the fuse box, look to the left of the steering wheel for a small seam or crack along the dashboard. Use a screwdriver or prybar to open this panel. Inside, you'll find a collection of fuses. On the back of the panel, there will be a diagram that displays the purpose of each fuse. If the diagram is not on the back of the panel, you can refer to the vehicle's owner's manual. Identify the fuse you need and remove it. The two sections that protrude should be connected by a thin strip of metal. If this strip is broken, the fuse is faulty and needs replacement. If the strip is intact, you can reinstall the fuse. Replacement fuses are inexpensive, typically costing around $10.
The amplifier for the 2009 Chevy Traverse can be found beneath the dashboard on the left side, either above or in front of the emergency brake bracket.
