The majority of 2018 Ford F-150 models are no longer equipped with an aux input. If your vehicle has one, you can locate it on the lower left side of the center console, beneath the climate controls. Ford is gradually moving away from aux jacks and favoring "2 in 1" USB ports that allow for both charging and data transfer at the same time. In addition, the '18 F-150 models come with bluetooth capabilities, which helps alleviate the absence of an aux input. Starting from 2016, Ford has been steering customers towards the proprietary SYNC system in the F-150, so expect to see fewer features in the future. I am disappointed with the SYNC system. It doesn't work well with my iPad and doesn't support playing audio books from Audible on my phone. Just adding a simple Aux port would have been really helpful. Even after multiple requests to the dealership to investigate the SYNC system, they say it's fine, but the issues remain. When introducing a new program, it's important to have a backup option in case things don't work out as expected.
