The 2009 Acura MDX has an AUX input located in the center console, featuring a 3.5mm jack and a USB port. This allows you to connect MP3 players and smart devices for audio playback in the car. As the trend of using external devices in cars has grown, many vehicle brands have included AUX inputs to provide more music options beyond CDs and radios. In some newer models, car manufacturers have removed the CD player altogether due to declining sales of physical media.
Models that come with the rear entertainment system do not have an auxiliary jack. In order to use the rear console, you must connect an auxiliary jack using the red and white plug-ins.
My 2009 Acura MDX does not have an AUX input port; instead, it only has a 115V AC outlet located at the center console. I have been unable to locate an AUX input port in the vehicle.
