In a 2006 Audi A6, the battery is located in the trunk on the passenger side of the vehicle. If the battery is dead, you won't be able to open the trunk normally because it is electronically operated. In that case, you will need to enter the trunk from the back seat and use the emergency trunk release lever. To access the trunk area from the back seat, reach up to the top corner of the seat and pull the lever towards you to lower the seat. If you're unable to fit in the trunk, you may need to ask for assistance.
