For a 2007 Mercedes R320, the CDI battery is located in the front passenger's side. To access it, you'll need to remove the lower front part of the seat by loosening the bolts holding it in place. The entire front bottom portion of the seat must be taken off. Underneath, there is a black panel that needs to be removed. Once this panel is off, you'll be able to locate the battery. Replacement batteries are available for around $40 to $100, depending on where you purchase them.
