The 2018 Jaguar F-PACE has its battery pack stored in the trunk, secured by a screw. Inside, there is one rechargeable cell and one non-rechargeable cell, which are managed individually by the TCU software. Unlike other batteries, these cells can't be swapped out separately; instead, the entire battery pack must be replaced. The inclusion of both types of cells ensures the car maintains optimal performance even in extreme cold conditions. While the rechargeable cell struggles at very low temperatures, the non-rechargeable cell excels in such conditions.
