The 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee's battery is tucked beneath the rear passenger seat. To access it, simply slide the seat forward and lift the floor covering to reveal a hidden seam. Pull up the seam to expose the battery inside a compartment. Despite its unconventional location, the battery functions just as it would if it were in the front of the vehicle. Keep in mind that for jump-starting, you'll need to connect the cables to the back of the car to reach the battery. Removing the battery requires disconnecting the cables and unbolting the securing brackets.
