In a 2003 Lincoln Aviator, the blend air door is situated inside the A/C-heater housing assembly. This door is operated by an electronic actuator and is responsible for blending the warm and cold air before it is distributed through the vents by the blower motor. The blend door actuator, a compact electric motor, manages the position of the blend door in response to the temperature setting. If you find yourself only receiving excessively cold or hot air, it may be an indication that either the blend door or the actuator has malfunctioned.
The blend door actuator for the 2003 Lincoln Aviator can be found beside the blend door inside the vehicle.
