In your 2016 Ford Fusion, the blend door actuator can be found on the left side of the heater box, positioned just behind the air filter in the center of the engine. This component is a small electric motor equipped with sensors that are linked to your car's climate control system. When you make adjustments to the temperature or airflow, these commands are transmitted through the actuator. Signs of a faulty blend door actuator may include issues like a lack of heating or air conditioning, or air not flowing through certain vents. In some cases, the actuator motors might also produce noise if they are malfunctioning, though this isn't always the situation.
