I assume you're from Canada. Greetings and welcome! The cord for your Volkswagen Atlas's block heater is near the fog light on the driver's side, at the front of your vehicle, hidden behind a small grey plastic cover. Fun fact: a Canadian innovator named Sterling Roberts has created a new plug design called the "Q-Plug" to simplify block heater issues. It comprises two parts that interlock - one attaches to your VW's block heater cord, and the other to the extension cord. The Q-Plug has only one power pin, making it effortless to connect in the dark and cold weather. It requires minimal effort to disconnect, handy for when you or a forgetful loved one leaves the block heater plugged in.
The heater core of the VW Atlas can be found beneath the dashboard, close to the driver's side near the steering wheel.
