To locate the block heater on a 2012 VW Jetta TDI, watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8wM-40lOfM Various engine issues may arise, such as loose gaskets needing prompt tightening, oil leaks requiring immediate attention, and spark plugs potentially causing trouble if they come loose. Overheating is a serious concern as it can lead to car fires and explosions. Keep an eye out for excessive oil usage, ensuring quick oil changes. Moreover, remember to change the air filter every 15,000 to 30,000 miles, coolant every 60,000 miles, and spark plugs every 100,000 miles except for copper ones, which should be changed every 30,000 miles or so.
The block heater for the 2012 VW Jetta TDI can be found near the bottom of the engine block.
In my experience with TDI vehicles, they usually come with spark plugs, believe it or not! However, as Michael mentioned, they are located at the bottom of the engine. Interestingly, they are often not included by the manufacturer and are added later as aftermarket parts.
