In the 2004 GMC Envoy, there is an engine air filter but no cabin air filter. However, there is probably some mesh or screen to prevent larger debris from entering the engine and HVAC system. This setup doesn't need any additional maintenance from your end. While it's common for older vehicles like this model to lack a cabin filter, it shouldn't be a major concern. Without a cabin filter, you may notice a bit more dust and small debris entering the cabin compared to models with one.
The spot where you can find the cabin air filter in a 2004 GMC Envoy could be behind the glove compartment under the dashboard, or it might also be located at the rear of the vehicle under the hood.
If there is a cabin filter, where can it be located?
