The 2008 Chevy Tahoe does not come equipped with a cabin air filter. Instead, it has a built-in plastic mesh that serves to block leaves and debris from getting into the HVAC system. This mesh is a permanent part of the vehicle and does not require any maintenance or replacement.
If there wasn't a cabin air filter in the 2008 Tahoe, I wouldn't have recently replaced mine. You need to remove the cover beneath the dashboard. If you're skeptical, you can also check out a tutorial on YouTube.
