The 2009 Ford F-150 does not come equipped with a cabin air filter, so if the air conditioner is not working properly, it can lead to discomfort. Issues can arise with the air conditioner over time, such as an inaccurate thermostat, a faulty motor, a loose fan, and unpleasant odors coming from the vents affecting your comfort. A Freon leak can cause you to sweat, while annoying noises from the air conditioner, loose mounting bolts, and a noisy compressor due to too much Freon must be addressed promptly to avoid frustration.

There is a secret component located on the passenger side of the transmission under the truck. It appears to be a bolt near the front of the transmission pan, and should be relatively easy to locate.

I drive a 2009 F-150 and the air flow isn't great. The dealer told me there isn't a cabin air filter. The air conditioning works great, but it's just not blowing out much air.

Air filter, not a dipstick! Remember to check the air filter instead of the dipstick.
